Peshawar- Opposition parties boycotted the session of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly and created pandemonium due to Imran Khan’s statement of dissolving the assembly.
Chairman PTI Imran Khan said during an interview to a private TV channel that he would dissolve the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly if the counting of votes in 4 constituencies did not take place.
Opposition parties created pandemonium and chanted slogans when the session started today. MPA Advocate Munawar Khan said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly is not a public property of Imran Khan that he could dissolve it whenever he wanted it to.
Maulana Lutf-ul-Rehman said that Imran Khan has talked about derailing democracy by giving the statement to dissolve assembly; his statement shows that he wants to damage democracy; court would give the decision of 4 constituencies not the public, he added.
MPA Nighat Orakzai said that Imran’s statement was the insult of public’s mandate; we would submit privilege motion in Assembly. His statement has hurt the sanctity of the house. MPA of PTI Shokat Yousafzai said he wanted to elaborate the statement of Imran but opposition members stopped him from talking and created uproar.
