The Pakistan national cricket team will take on New Zealand in the final T20I of the series on Wednesday at the Wellington Regional Stadium, with expected changes in the playing XI.

According to sources, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shadab Khan are likely to be rested, while more fringe players may get an opportunity ahead of the upcoming ODI series against the Black Caps.

Speaking ahead of the match, Pakistan assistant coach Azhar Mahmood acknowledged the team’s resilience despite recent setbacks. “There exists a fighting spirit in the team despite the defeat in the last T20I,” he said.

He emphasized the need to adapt to conditions in the final game while admitting that overall team performance needs improvement. “The individual performances are coming, but as a unit, the performance is not up to the mark,” Mahmood added.
