Pakistan Tehrik Insaaf (PTI) has decided not to leave the field open for the PML –N and contest all the offices in the National Assembly.
Announcing this at a press conference here on Saturday, Deputy Cbairman of the Party Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that Mr Javed Hashmi will be the PTI candidate for the election of Prime Minister.
He said that newly elected member from Kohat Mr Shehryar Afridi will be the party candidate for the post of Speaker and head of the women wing Munazza Hassan will be contesting the post of Deputy Speaker.
He said the PTI will play the role of an effective opposition in the National Assembly and for this purpose member from Karachi Arif Alvi will be the Chief Whip.
He said Mr Imran Khan himself will be the parliamentary leader of PTI in the National Assembly.
Political analysts say that though the PTI was not in a position to win any election but it was not ready to give a free hand to the PML-N.
