SWAT - Sixty schoolchildren fell seriously ill on Saturday after being administered measles vaccine by officials in Swat district of KP.
According to reports, government health workers visited a school and dosed at least 60 schoolchildren with measles vaccine. Students fell unconscious and were shifted to Sadu Sharif hospital. "All children were treated at the emergency ward. We don't know anything about the vaccine they were given," said medics. Over 50 kids were admitted to hospital after immunisation in Swat region, where health authorities are already struggling to remove misconceptions about polio vaccination. Earlier in July 2012, expired measles vaccine claimed three lives in Swat district .
