KARACHI   -  Everyone in Karachi knows that Empress Market is one of the worst places when it comes to animal welfare. Thus, Ayesha Chundrigar with her team headed to their rescue with the help of Sherina Junejo, Assistant commissioner Saddar and Khumar Raza. Once they entered the market to see the condition the animals were in, it was worse than they imagined. 

The majority of the animals were caged, dehydrated, and starving. They were burning with fever, suffered eye and mouth infections, some were even bleeding from either their claws or heads. The caged animals also weren’t provided basic necessities such as water and food. Most of them were either on the verge of death or had already died. 

The harrowing scene propelled Ayesha Chundrigar to set up an emergency camp at the market effective immediately with the help of the ACF team. After seeing all the animals suffer in such harsh conditions they tried their level best to guide the shopkeepers and help them understand why these animals’ lives matter by conveying their message in an empathic manner.
