LAHORE - Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid inaugurated a Vaccination Centre at the United Christian Hospital (UCH) Gulberg here on Monday.
Present on the occasion were Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Sarah Aslam, Commissioner Lahore Captain (retired), Usman Younis and other officials. The Health Minister reviewed vaccination arrangements and visited registration room, screening desk, rest rooms, and other counters.
Speaking on the occasion, she said, “The UCH vaccination centre has made arrangements to vaccinate over 1,000 people.
We have fully trained staff to deliver services at the centre.
The objective is to ensure hassle free vaccination of people of neighbouring areas. We are enhancing the number of vaccinated people on daily basis. By June, we may achieve daily vaccination average of 250,000 to 300,000 people.
As per directions of the NCOC, safe and secure vaccines are being administered to people of Punjab. We have also started the process of local procurement in Punjab. We are trying to vaccinate more and more people in Punjab. I urge people to follow safety SOPs and wear masks.”
Punjab introduces Corona Vaccination Card
Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Sarah Aslam launched new Corona Vaccination Card to facilitate citizens in Punjab here on Monday.
The Secretary P&SH Department said, “The card will help citizens keep record of their vaccination as well as dates of next dose. All citizens are appealed to get their second dose in time as mentioned on cards. With vaccination, I urge people to follow social distancing and use masks.”
