Every citizen should contribute to make Quetta neat, clean: Administrator

QUETTA    -    Quetta Metropolitan Corporation (QMC) Administrator Abdul Jabbar Baloch said that commitment had been made to make Quetta city clean and green; therefore, cooperation of people was required for the purpose. These views were expressed by him while addressing a function held here on Saturday under the aegis of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation in connection with “Clean and green Quetta”. Baloch said that all available resources were being utilised to improve cleanliness situation in Quetta, adding that every citizen should contribute to make Quetta city neat and clean. He added several development projects were being considered to make Quetta a modern city, adding that practical steps, including tree plantation and wall painting, had been initiated to restore the traditional beauty of Quetta city. He said that different teams were taking actions against encroachments on daily basis. Urging the people to extend cooperation to the staff of Quetta Metropolitan Corporation to make the cleanliness campaign launched by the Quetta Metropolitan Corporation a success, he said unless all citizens contribute for cleaning the city, the city could not be cleaned. He said that choked points were being cleared while encroachments were being removed from flood channels in Quetta. Earlier, members Balochistan Women Business Forum and Pakistan Women Rights Association took out awareness rally under “Clean and Green City”. Amongst the participants of rally included President, Balochistan Women Business Forum, Faiza Mengal, President, Pakistan Women Rights Association, Sumera, Director General, Human Rights, Musarrat Jabeen Durrani, Chairperson, Women Empowerment Organization, Fozia Kasi, Maria Ghafoor of Balochistan Women Alliance, Marukh, Nureen Naz, Shazia Ishfaq and others.
