RAWALPINDI - To improve water supply system in the city, the Water and Sanitation Agency will launch a number of schemes worth Rs660 million.
In line with media reports, the agency has also sent a mega project to bring water from Chahan Dam at a cost of Rs5.6 billion to the Punjab government for approval.
Under the schemes, six million gallon daily water will be added to the supply system of 46 union councils before the summer season.
A senior official of WASA told media that eight schemes for water supply and sanitation had been included in the annual development programme of Punjab out of which seven were approved by the planning and development department.
