ISLAMABAD – A Mehfil-e-Milad was held here in connection with Holy Prophet’s birth anniversary celebrations.
Begum Nusrat Pervez, the First Lady, was the guest of honor in the ceremony, which was organised at the residence of Begum Haji Mushtaq. The ceremony was attended by a large number of women belonging to various walks of life. Renowned women Naat khawans recited Naat and offered salutations and greetings on the Holy prophet (PBUH).
Speaking on the occasion, Begum Nusrat Pervez said, “We can become successful by acting upon the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) not only in this
world but also in the hereafter.”
Later on, the First Lady also distributed the sewing machines among the deserving and the poor women. She also gave financial assistance to them.
The blessed ceremony concluded with a prayer for the country’s stability, security and prosperity.
