Disabled veterans learn to skydive

A volunteer group is giving disabled veterans the chance to participate in extreme sports.
Called Operation Enduring Warrior, the group explains on its Facebook page that it ‘offers our wounded warriors many different programs and ways to participate in a team environment.’
Some of those programs, as pointed out by Fox News, include skydiving.  Marine Corps veteran Todd Love told the channel why he thinks there are more disabled skydivers.
‘I think a lot of the disabled community, especially injured veterans, are drawn to skydiving because it’s starting to grow,’ he said. ‘Veterans are perfect for skydiving because it’s a sport you have to plan and military guys - they know how to plan properly - and in skydiving if you can do that, you can eliminate a lot of the risk.’
Love ‘can move as well as, or actually can jump better, than I can,’ OED volunteer Scott Blough told the channel. Army veteran Joe Grabianowski, who was inspired by Love’s efforts, described how skydiving felt to Fox News.
‘Just that freedom of movement out there,’ he said. ‘You’re free falling but in a way, you can move your body in certain ways to actually make it feel like you’re flying.’ Arizona, Texas and North Carolina facilities have already stepped in to help train veterans, Fox News says.
