Islamabad- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was delaying the Local Bodies (LB) Elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In an interview, Imran Khan said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government was ready to hold the local bodies (LB) elections in the province in March of this year but it could not be held due to ECP’s laxity.
He added that the election commission was not allowing the local government polls to be held under the biometric voting system despite the provincial government’s demand. “ECP has failed to perform its duties”, Khan said.
Imran Khan further said that PTI will continue its struggle for free and fair elections and a competent election commission in the country.
