DHAKA- Millions of Bangladeshis attended the funeral prayers of former Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami at the national mosque Baitul

Prior to the funeral, the Nayeb-e-Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami, Professor Mujibur Rahman and Brigadier General (Rtd.) Abdullahil Aman Al Azmi
addressed the gathering. In his address, Professor Mujibur Rahman stated that, Professor Ghulam Azam is the architect of Islamic movement in Bangladesh. His lifetime dream was to establish the law of Almighty Allah on His sacred land. He had experienced torture and repression several times in his life for his participation in the movement of establishing the Islamic rule and the democratic rights of the people.
Brigadier General (Rtd.) Abdullahil Aman Al Azmi said my father has sacrificed everything of his life for the sake of the Islamic movement. He
was an ideal father, ideal neighbor, ideal son, ideal brother and ideal husband. The incumbent government kept him behind the bar at the last end of his life in connection with a false case and made him deprived from family touches.
