Ahsan terms PM’s US visit successful

Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to the US remained successful as it provoked the government’s stance against Indian involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan.
He said that President Obama had highly hailed and acknowledged Pakistan’s frontline role in its war against terrorism.
Addressing the party workers near Narowal, he said that the meeting between the PM and the president remained very fruitful as it built up mutual confidence on each other’s policies for establishing sustainable peace across the world. He said that the positive effects of the meeting would soon come before the world. He said that Pakistan was committed to uprooting terrorism.
He said that the US had admitted Pakistan’s importance in the war against terrorism and strategic significance of Pakistan.
He said that now Pakistan was moving towards the goals of self reliance, and political and socio-economical stability.
The federal minister added that Mr Nawaz also raised the Kashmir issue very effectively and positively during his meeting with President Obama in Washington. He (Nawaz) had also adopted a very bold, principled and courageous stance on the burning issue of Kashmir in General Assembly of the UN, Ahsan said.
He said that Sharif’s speech in General Assembly of UN had reflected the aspirations of Pakistani nation. He had successfully taken up the Kashmir dispute globally, paving the way for further developments in the burning Kashmir issue as per the resolutions passed by the UN.
He said that the world had now admitted that Pakistan had played its crucial role against terrorism and for establishing sustainable peace in the world. He added that Pakistan was very serious in uprooting terrorism.
He said that the world was also accepting wholeheartedly the results of Pakistan armed forces’ operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorism in Pakistan. He noted that the whole nation stands united against terrorism and sacrificing along with armed forces of Pakistan while battling against terrorism.
Later, talking to the different delegations, Ahsan said that law and order situation was getting better day by day in the country, adding that the effective policies of government were bearing fruits besides giving the direly needed encouraging results in this regard.
He said that Pakistan was now rapidly moving towards the goal of political and economic stability. He said that Pakistan China Economic Corridor has further cemented friendship between the two countries which would definitely boost Pakistani economy.
China would bring massive investment in Pakistan to the tune of US$ 46 billion, he concluded.
