Balloting for bio-gas plants held

SHEIKHUPURA - The balloting for distribution of 22 bio-gas plants were held here at DCO Office on Tuesday. The Punjab government has provided 50 per cent subsidy on each plant which costs Rs100,000 each. This was disclosed by the DCO while speaking at the ceremony. Agriculture Engineer Khalid Mehmood, Assistant Agriculture Engineer Saifur Rehman and a large number of people including the applicants participated in the ceremony. A total of 145 farmers applied for 22 bio-gas plants. On the occasion, the DCO said that biogas was a natural substitute for energy and this scheme would be extended to benefit maximum people.
