LAHORE – Librarian of Punjab Institute of Cardiology Dr Muhammad Ijaz Mairaj has completed his PhD from University of Charles-de-Gaulle -Lille 3, France with distinction. The topic of his thesis was: Impact of websites of university libraries of Pakistan on users: An appraisal. During PhD, he contributed six research papers either published or accepted for publication in national and international peer reviewed journals, says a press release. Moreover, he participated in five international conferences in France, Greece, Romania, UK and Tunisia, and presented three research papers in Greece, Romania and Tunisia.His key areas of interest for future research are: Information and Communication Technology (ICT) applications in libraries, library websites, library and information science education, and user-based evaluation studies of library services.
