Mukhtar for boost in defence ties with KSA

ISLAMABAD - Vice Admiral Dakheel Allah Bin Ahmed Al Waqdani, Commander Royal Saudi Navy Forces, along with a delegation of Royal Navy called on Federal Minister for Defence, Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar, at the Ministry of Defence on Tuesday. During the meeting Ch Ahmad Mukhtar said that both the countries enjoyed brotherly relations and the people of Pakistan prayed for the health of King Abdullah, the custodian of the Holy Mosques and looked forward for his guidance and support. The minister expressed the government of Pakistan desire to further expand and enhance its relations with Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in areas of defence, economy and energy sectors. The visiting commander expressed his satisfaction over the existing level of cooperation and collaboration in the field of defence in general and with Navy in particular. However, in view of the challenges, a need to further enhance the level of bilateral relations was emphasised. The minister also extended a gratitude to KSA for help and rehabilitation provided during floods in 2010.
