PAC man killing sows panic in Baldia Town


KARACHI - Tension prevailed in Baldia Town after the killing of an activist of the outlawed People’s Amman Committee (PAC) and wounding of four more people including a joint sector in charge of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). Report said that unidentified culprits riding a motorcycle targeted two people in Mohajir Camp area.
The injured were moved to Civil Hospital, Karachi where one Shoaib Baloch, 32, son of Ibrahim Baloch succumbed to his injuries and his companion, namely Nawaz Baloch was wounded.
The incident caused panic and fear in the locality where routine and commercial activities were suspended as the unidentified culprits restored to indiscriminate firing in the area.  Police said that the deceased and the injured were affiliated with the PAC and had criminal records. Following the incident, unidentified culprits targeted the MQM Baldia Town joint sector in charge, namely Arshad Qureshi in Rangar Mohalla. Resultantly, Qureshhi and two others including a teenage girl wounded. The injured were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical treatment. The injured Arshad Qureshi is also the former union council nazim of the Baldia Town’s Rangar Mohalla. 
Meanwhile, a man, yet to be identified was gunned down in Shirin Jinnah Colony within the limits of Boat Basin police station. The body of the deceased was moved to morgue for identification after autopsy at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre.
