RAWALIPNDI - The authorities sent Saeed Khan, who was involved in launching attack on Sialkot cantonment area, to gallows at Adiala Jail here yesterday.
A military court had awarded capital punishment to Saeed Khan while convicting him of carrying out armed attack on the Sialkot cantonment area and killed 5 personnel of security forces. According to details, the authorities have hanged Saeed Khan in wee hours of Friday and handed over his dead body to the heirs for burial. Earlier, Superintendent Adiala Jail Saeed Ullah Gondal had arranged last meeting of more than 50 family members, including three women, with Saeed Khan that lasted for one hour.
The mercy appeals of Saeed Khan were rejected by the Lahore High Court, Supreme Court of Pakistan and President of Pakistan after which the authorities hanged him at Adiala Jail.
