KP Governor lauds govt’s efforts for people-oriented steps

peshawar   -   Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman on Saturday appreciated the efforts of the government to facilitate people during corona pandemic and said that initiatives of the PTI government not only supported economy of the country but also reduced the miseries of poor people by launching various schemes of public benefit.


He expressed these views while addressing Kamyab Jawan Convention in Governor House Peshawar. The ceremony was attended among others by PM’s aide on Youth Affairs Usman Dar, KP Finance Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra, Special Assistant to KP Chief Minister on Information and Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif.


Highlighting initiatives of the government, the Governor said that loans amounting Rs2 billion were being distributed among youth under Kamyab Jawan Programme for starting their own businesses while Rs1 billion have been distributed by Bank of Khyber among youth.


He said that emancipation and proper guidance of youth is necessary to explore their hidden capabilities and use their abilities for development of the country. The KP Governor stressed upon the concerned authorities to prepare a plan for uplift of youth and creating employment opportunities for them. He also distributed cheques and certificates among the youth.
