MARDAN - Provincial Chief of Awami National Party (ANP) and Member National Assembly, Ameer Haider Hoti said that National Action Plan must be implemented at all cost and the right approach is required, as militancy cannot be removed from the country only with the military operation.
“Gun is not the only solution, it is the right time that all the institutions should follow National Action Plan (NAP) with effectives and fast pace performance”, he added.
He expressed these views while addressing a press conference after a lunch arranged by Haji Ahmed Khan Bahadur, lawmaker of ANP here on Sunday at Khaksar house in honour of local journalists. Haji Ahmed Khan Bahadur, Haji Latif ur Rehman District General Secretary, Imran Manduri, Fida Mohammad Khan, Shah Nawaz Khan and other office bearers of the party were also present on this occasion. Haider Hoti added that it is duty of both provincial and federal government to follow the National Action Plan.
He added that Nation Action Plan cannot be implemented only with the struggle of Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, but for this purpose all the institutions should play their role. “If we follow all the acts of National Action Plan, then we can succeed to end militancy from the country and maintain a peaceful law and order situation.”
He added that for this purpose we should also improve relations with our neighbouring countries especially with Afghanistan. Hiader Hoti added that this impression should not be created that army is alone in war against terrorism. He added that in Pakistan’s political history, parliament has completed its period for the very first time and power was handed over to other elected representatives through a democratic way but unfortunately the sit-ins of Imran Khan have created problems for the democratic process.
He added that for the sake of democracy, all the political parties in and outside the house should be united to protect the democratic process in the country, which was in danger due to sit-ins. He added that after the APS school incident, Imran Khan ended his sit-in and later on he agreed on Judicial Inquiry Commission (JIC). He added that now the Judicial Commission gave its decision and rejected the allegations of rigging raised by Imran Khan.
“Unfortunately now Imran Khan said that he accepts the decision of judicial commission but he still believes that rigging was done in the 2013 elections through a conspiracy, which is beyond understanding”, he added. He added that the decision of judicial commission is neither a success of Nawaz Sharif nor Imran Khan but it is the success of democratic process.
He added that Imran Khan should play his role in the national assembly and should also take part in the electoral reforms. Haider Hoti added that statements of Imran Khan showed that he would create more problems in future. He advised Imran Khan that he should reconsider his politics and his advisors who gave him such sort of advices.
He added that after the 2013 elections, Chief Election Commissioner Justice Sardar Muhammad Raza was elected with the consent of all the political parties and he has no role in the 2013 elections so demand of Imran Khan regarding the resignation of election commissioner is inconceivable.
Haider Hoti criticized Imran Khan and said that he gave different statements about Kalabagh Dam. He added that Imran Khan gave the statement in Punjab that Kalabagh Dam shouldn’t be constructed but in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa he issued a different statement that with the consensus of all provinces, Kalabagh Dam should be constructed. He added that the chapter of Kalabagh Dam is closed and assembly of three units of the country have passed the resolution against Kalabagh Dam.
