LAHORE - Punjab University Society of International Law (PUSIL) held a seminar here at University Law College on Indus Water Treaty - future implications, which was presided over by Justice (r) Nawaz Chohan. Syed Jamaat Ali Shah the Indus Water commissioner for Pakistan elaborated in detail the projects under construction on the western rivers. He also discussed the causes of impending water crisis in Pakistan and its implications. Hamid Khan explained the circumstances leading to the conclusion of treaty and said that the defects of the treaty are proving a disaster for the country. Raja Zulqarnain and Anwar Kamal also shared their views on the topic. The LLM students of international law also presented their papers on the subject.
