LAHORE - A 45-year-old trader was killed over old enmity in Lower Mall police limits on Saturday. The deceased identified as Naeem Ahmad was resident of Shah Jehan Road. Police said two unidentified youth opened indiscriminate firing on him and he died on the spot. The family source said two unidentified youth approached the home and rang bell. When asked for their arrival, the accused told they wanted to hand over a crate of mangoes to Naeem Ahmad Butt and when he opened the door, the unknown accused sprayed indiscriminate bullets on the victim, who received a couple of bullets injuries on his belly and chest and died on the spot. The accused however fled from the scene. An Edhi ambulance shifted the dead body to the city morgue for autopsy. Police have registered a murder case with no arrest till filing of this report. The locals of the area disclosed the deceased was a polite and generous man. He used to give pocket money to the children of the street on regular basis and they often gathered outside his home in the morning, they added.
