wah cantt - Hassanabdal Police on Friday claimed to have arrested an impostor posing himself as contactor of National Highway and Motorway Police (NHMP) for fleecing carts owners at bus stand Hassanabdal. Police sources said that officials of a law enforcement agency spotted a man identified as Multan Khan who was involved in extortion of money on daily basis from the carts owners on the pretext of ‘parking fee’ for placing carts at bus stand along with GT road while posing himself as contractor of National Highway and Motorway Police.
According to police sources, an official card of National Highway and Motorway Police bearing serial number and seal was also recovered from the accused. During preliminary interrogation, the accused has confessed that some ‘black sheep’ in NHMP have issued him the card and he was regularly paying share to them. During initial interrogation, he failed to provide documentary evidence of being contractor. A case has registered against the accused.
