Wimbledon draw: Federer, Murray, Nadal in same half

The Wimbledon is yet to begin but the talking has already started. The much anticipated grass tournament got more exciting even before the first serve was served as the draw is finally announced. Defending champion, Novak Djokovic proved to be the luckiest of the top seeds as he avoided his three biggest traditional rivals in the tournament draw on Friday with the others placed on the opposite side. The draw set up a number of intriguing and mouth watering possibilities in the days to come. There could very much be the possibility of a heated quarter final with Andy Murray facing Rafael Nadal, and Federer possibly, awaiting the winner in the semi finals.

Djokovic, however, could face some tricky tasks ahead owing to a possible encounter with former semi finalist, Stan Wawrinka, who beat him in the French Open earlier this year. Tomas Berdych and Jo Wilfried Tsonga are also drawn together in the bottom half.

Andy Murray was given the toughest possible draw as he tries to win the tournament for a second time. The Brit could face Tsonga in the fourth round, Nadal in the quarters, Federer in the semis and Djokovic in the final.

The highlights of the Men’s draw are as follows:

1) Djokovic vs Kohlschreiber

2) Wawrinka vs Sousa

3) Belluci vs Nadal

4) Kukushin vs Murray

5) Dzumhur vs Federer
