More than 42 feeder teachers of the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) took out a rally against the district general manager of NCHD for applying dilly-dallying tactics in payment of their salaries which have been pending for the past eight months.
Talking to the media men here, a group of feeder teachers said that they were being paid Rs2,500 as honorarium on monthly basis. This honorarium was enhanced to Rs8,000 from July 2013 but since then not a single penny has been paid to them by the NCHD.
They said that they were facing hardships due to the non-payment of their salaries while the authorities concerned had asked them to keep quiet or discontinue their jobs. They said that the teachers’ family members were starving while the general manager taking his office staff on tours.
They warned that if they would not be pay their dues along with arrears they would stop performing their duties and would also boycott the forthcoming children enrolment campaign.
GOVT TO PROMOTE IDEOLOGY OF PAKISTAN: State Minister for parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab Ahmad has said that Lahore resolution passed on 23rd March 1940 was the most important event in the Pakistan Movement and the purpose of its celebrating is to keep the youth aware of its importance.
Talking to this scribe here, he said that the PML-N government was committed to promote ideology of Pakistan and its ample proof was that after years break, the day was being celebrated with great zeal at govt level.
He said that Two Nation Theory highlighted that Muslims and Hindus were two separate nations. He said that the importance of the resolution was not less than the declaration of independence. The purpose of 23rd March resolution was the establishment of modern Islamic and democratic state, he added.
The minister said that Pakistan ideology meant to create a modern state where Islamic principles were implemented. He said that the resolution for establishment of a separate homeland for the Muslims of sub-continent passed in the annual session of All-India Muslim League held in Lahore. He said that the resolution was passed unanimously and was a landmark document of the country history.
He said that the government was striving hard to make new generation aware of Pakistan Movement, Two Nation Theory and objectives of the establishment of Pakistan.
