3 Pakistanis dead after Italy migrant boat capsizes

ROME (AFP) - Three Pakistanis were found dead on Saturday after a sail boat with around 60 migrants on board capsized near the port of Brindisi off the coast of southeast Italy, ANSA news agency reported citing rescuers. The report said around a dozen bodies had been spotted but some survivors were plucked out of the water and others managed to reach the shoreline. La Repubblica dailys website said the migrants were from Pakistan and the boat had sailed from Turkey. It said a storm in the area had pushed their boat onto some rocks and emergency services had been alerted by a local resident. The report said there were many injuries and at least three dead.
