KARACHI - There is a need to spread awareness regarding traffic rules among the masses and establishment of institutions in this regard, says Dr Salman Zubair Students Advisory Council KU, Assistant Professor.
A ceremony was organised at University of Karachi to present shields and souvenirs to the road accident victims on the eve of World Road Safety Week. The purpose of holding the ceremony was to remember the road accident victims and spread the message that they are also an important part of the society and spend their lives normally after their accidents.
The ceremony was attended by Abdul Hadi, Director National Institute of Professional Development Karachi, Students Advisory Council KU, Assistant Professor Dr Salman Zubair, Students’ Advisor KU Syed Asim Ali, Umar and Ashraf from National Highway and Motorway Police.
“These road victims could play a pivotal role in societal development. Compliance of traffic rules is the quality of a civilized nation, we need to spread awareness regarding traffic rules and to establish institutions in this regard so that regular awareness seminars are held in order to minimize such road accidents,” said Dr Salman Zubair.
