FIA holds 2 persons on charges of illegal exchange of money

RAWALPINDI -The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Commercial Banks Circle Islamabad has raided the office of illegal currency exchange dealer Great Union Exchange Company Branch 8 at Mall Plaza, Saddar, Rawalpindi and recovered foreign currencies of many countries worth Rs 20.30 million, informed sources on Friday.
The FIA investigators have also rounded up Manager Amir Manzoor and Anees Haider, they said.
A First Information Report (FIR) has also been lodged against the accused who were moved to Islamabad for further investigation, sources said.
According to sources, FIA Commercial Banks Circle Islamabad investigators on a tip off have carried out raid on an exchange company involved in illegal exchange of currency.
Director General (DG) FIA Sana Ullah Abbasi appreciated the efforts of FIA investigators for raiding the exchange company for curbing illegal exchange of money.
