RAWALPINDI - The authorities have released Asmat Adam Jee, mother of Noor Mukaddam’s alleged killer Zahir Jaffar, from the Adiala Jail, informed sources on Tuesday.

Superintendent Adiala Jail Arshad Warraich released Asmat Adam Jee after receiving release order from apex court.

Some days before, her bail was approved by the Supreme Court of Pakistan in the high profile case, they said.

Asmat was granted bail by the apex court against surety bonds of Rs1 million. Her husband Zakir Jaffer was still languishing in judicial custody in the same case.

Police arrested Asmat Adam Jee along with her husband Zakir Jaffar and three servants on charges of hiding gruesome murder to save skin of Zahir Zakir Jaffar.
