ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Imran Khan directed Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed to submit a detailed report on his talks with TLP and their demands.
The prime minister issued these remarks while chairing a high level meeting on law and order situation including TLP protest and march.
The prime minister was briefed by the interior minister and other top officials about the latest law and order situation in the country in the context of TLP protest and march.
The prime minister was also briefed about progress in talks with TLP leadership.
According to the sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan directed the interior minister and other cabinet members to resolve issues with TLP through dialogue and ensure the lives and property of the masses are protected.
The interior minister told the media after the meeting that he would contact the TLP leadership again and would open blocked roads by midnight on Tuesday.
The interior minister disclosed that expulsion of the French ambassador to Pakistan is top demand of the TLP leadership; however, the ambassador of France could not be expelled due to limitations of the government, he added.
