PTI to support BAP candidate for Balochistan CM slot

ISLAMABAD   -   The ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday announced to support the nominee of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) for the new chief minister (CM) of Balochistan.

“We will support the candidate of BAP,” the Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak said this while talking to reporters following his meeting with the Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani at the Parliament House.

The remarks of the senior PTI leader came a day after the parliamentary party of PTI in Balochistan unanimously decided to nominate Sardar Yar Mohammad Rind as its candidate for chief minister of the province and Sardar Babar Khan Musakhel as the speaker of the Balochistan Assembly.

Khattak said that they would follow the majority decision in Balochistan and this decision would be “within BAP.” He said that the decision of BAP would be final in the parliamentary group of the ruling coalition in the province. PTI is part of the ruling coalition in the province.
