Qaiser for boosting Pak-Belarus coop

ISLAMABAD - Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser said that multifaceted bilateral parliamentary and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Belarus was a commendable feature of relationship between both the countries. 

Talking to Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Metelista, who called on him in Islamabad, the NA Speaker said that Pakistan strongly desired to further solidify bilateral relations through cooperation in diverse sectors. 

Asad Qaiser said that legislature of friendly counties played an immensely important role in deepening bilateral relations. 

He called for active engagement between parliamentarians of Pakistan and Belarus for sharing experiences and views. He suggested that committees of both the legislatures on agriculture should interact to explore cooperation in agriculture sector. 

Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Metelista said that Belarus also valued high its relations with Pakistan and wanted to further strengthen the existing relation through economic and diplomatic relations. The Ambassador said that Belarus and Pakistan were closely cooperating on the international arena in addressing pressing issues of the global and regional agenda. 

He said that establishment of an assembly plant of Belarus Tractor in Pakistan was in process and would start its operations. He agreed that there was immense potential for joint ventures in agro based industry, building of heavy machinery, including automotive engineering, agricultural harvesting and road construction machinery. He assured for playing his role in enhancing bilateral cooperation.
