Climate Change, Poverty Alleviation and IT Divisions get new secys

ISLAMABAD - The Establishment Division on Wednesday made a reshuffle in bureaucracy and appointed new secretaries of the Climate Change, Poverty Elevation and Information Technology Divisions in addition to the appointment of chief secretary Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to notifications issued, a BS-22 officer of Pakistan Administrative Services Syed Asif Hyder Shah has appointed as new Federal Secretary of the Climate Change Division.

Mohsin Mushtaq, a BS-21 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service presently posted as Additional Secretary (Incharge) in Inter Provincial Coordination Division, is posted as Additional Secretary (Incharge) of the IT and Telecommunication Division.

Muhammad Ali Shahzada, a BS-22 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service who was earlier posted as Secretary, Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division, is removed from his position and directed to report to Establishment Division.

Dr. Muhammad Fakhre Alam Irfan, a BS-21 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service who is presently posted as Additional Secretary in the Interior Division is posted as Additional Secretary (Incharge), Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division.

Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, a BS-21 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service, presently posted as Additional Secretary in the Federal Education and Professional Training Division, is posted as Chief Secretary Gilgit-Baltistan.

The vacancy on the top bureaucratic slot at Gilgit-Baltistan was occurred because its previous incumbent was transferred and posted as Secretary Energy Division just a day ago.

On the other side, Usman Akhtar Bajwa, a BS-21 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service presently posted as Additional Secretary in Prime Minister’s Office is removed from his position and directed to report to Establishment Division.

While Sarah Saeed, a BS-21 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service presently posted as Additional Secretary Finance Division is transferred and posted as Additional Secretary in the PM Office in place of Mr. Bajwa.

Sources inside the Establishment Division informed that several other transfers and postings are on the cards that would be made in coming days.
