EU to provide 64m euros budgetary support to KP in 4 years

PESHAWAR - Finance department, government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has signed an agreement with the European Union for 64 million euros budgetary support to be received in over next four years.
Executed by Oxford Policy Management (OPM) in six districts of Malakand division i.e. Chitral, Malakand, Dir Lower, Dir Upper, Shangla and Swat, this budgetary support would be received under the Community Driven Local Development (CDLD).
The representative of the OPM said that to support better management control, monitoring and evaluation a web-based Management Information System (MIS) integrated with Geographic Information System (GIS) is developed. He further informed that system is designed in such a way that it will not only help the government track the development progress while sitting anywhere in the world but also improve the monitoring and evaluation of development projects through few clicks on the mobile phone screen.  He further states that currently this system is designed only for six districts but in future the system may be extended to other districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Oxford Policy Management has arranged two days CDLD MIS training session for master trainers in ICMS, Peshawar.  The participants were provided with comprehensive training manuals and hands-on practices.
