IHC serves notice on AGPR

ISLAMABAD - Islamabad High Court (IHC) Friday served notices on the Accountant General of Pakistan Revenue (AGPR) Tahir Mehmood after the federal government requested the court to vacate the stay orders against his termination.
After issuing the notices, Justice Noor-ul-Haq N Qureshi deferred the hearing till the next date to be fixed by the office of registrar.
It was on December 18 when the federal government had suspended AGPR Tahir Mehmood for three months. However, a single bench of IHC restored Tahir Mehmood by granting him stay order in this regard.

While restoring AGPR on December 20, Justice Noor-ul-Haq N Qureshi had noted in his decision that the points raised by the petitioner needs consideration and suspended operation of the notification that had suspended Tahir Mehmood on December 18.
Establishment Division had suspended the AGPR Tahir Mehmood for a period of three months on December 18.
