KARACHI : Gold price slipped by Rs 129 to close at Rs 51,342 per 10 grams in the local market Monday, market sources said. According to Karachi Sarafa Association official, tola (11.664 grams) price also decreased by Rs 200 to Rs 59,900. Silver closed higher at Rs 964.28 per 10 grams. Reuters adds from London: gold prices steadied on Monday, having earlier fallen in line with the euro, stocks and other commodities like crude oil, as buyers were tempted back to the market by the metal's retreat towards $1,760 an ounce.
