Bahawalpur - Deputy Inspector General of Prisons, Multan Region paid an annual visit to Borstal Jail, Bahawalpur. Osama Salamat, Superintendent Jail and officers joined. 

Deputy Inspector General of Prisons Multan Region,Abdul Ghafoor Khaki Assistant Superintendent Jail  were also present.  DIG visited all the barracks, kitchens, jail hospital, central tower, main wall, control room, meeting shed and issued instructions. DIG along with the officers reviewed the arrangements regarding security inside and outside the jail and issued instructions to the Superintendent of Prisons on the spot.

DIG  directed for supply of medicines and food to sick prisoners and have them checked by the medical officer.   DIG specifically directed the superintendent of Jail to implement the instructions issued by the Chief Minister of Punjab.
