ISLAMABAD   -   Pakistan people’s Party yesterday said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had admitted his defeat in his rally.

Commenting on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech in the rally, PPP secretary general Syed Nayyar Bukhari said the public meeting was very disappointing. “Imran Khan lost the trust of his party and allies. He failed to bring 172 lawmakers for his support. The opposition has the required numbers,” he added. He said that Imran Khan was crying but Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will not give any ‘NRO’ to him for handing over the keys of national treasury to the International Monetary Fund. The PPP leader said in the State of Madina, there is no room for any bad character, bad language and hypocritical liar. “Those who erase the name of Kashmir from Islamabad should be ashamed to mention Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal and ideology of Pakistan,” he asserted.

Meanwhile, PPP leader Shazia Atta Marri, while reacting to Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed’s news conference   said that the minister was not talking like a country’s interior minister but he was behaving like a gangster. “Everyone knows him. If political situation would be changed in the country, he will flee away.

The political career of Sheikh Rashid started with polishing the boots of the dictators and now   it’s ending with lifting shoes of the Imran Khan,” she contended.

Marri criticised that the government had restricted the private media channels and not giving them permission to cover theirs today’s public gathering at   Islamabad because they have exposed the lack of public interest and lack of seats in the public meeting.

She alleged that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was a ‘gang of thugs’, and not a political party. She strongly condemned and criticised the PTI workers’ act of harassing a female journalist during the coverage of PTI’s public gathering at Islamabad.

“The PPP strongly condemns this fascist behaviour towards a female reporter, and stopping of private media channels by PTI from covering their rally,” she said.
