ISLAMABAD Chairman of Non-political Anti-graft Caucus and Member of National Assembly, Nawabzada Khawaja Mohammad Khan Hoti, has said that poor masses were fed up with the growing price-hike, unemployment and lawlessness in the province. Addressing a public meeting held at Totalai of Buner district, he said that rulers were living extravagantly luxurious life and making the country bankrupt economically. The public meeting was chaired by a former ANP leader Nisar Mohammad Khan. Others who addressed included Raj Wali Khan, Naseer Mohammad Khan, Jan Bahadar Khan, Saeedullah Khan Khalil, Amanullah Khan, Liaquat Khan, Rafiq Khan and Fateh Ali Khan Babak. Hoti castigated the provincial government for registration of false terrorism related cases on the innocent people and offered full support to the Fateh Ali Khan, one such victim of such cases. The former federal minister demanded the supply of gas to Totalai, saying that in case of ignoring the area, he would not only raise the matter on the floor of the National Assembly, but will also not hesitate in joining the protest of the people on the street. He was also critical of the alleged nepotism in the allotment of commercial plots in the Industrial Zone Mardan. He made it clear he would not remain as silent spectator on corruption, malpractices and nepotism. Khawaja Hoti termed the commemoration of the anti-corruption week as cruel joke with the people of Mardan, saying the rulers have even not spared the poor auto-rickshaw drivers and vendors of the district.
