RAWALPINDI - Rawalpindi Police Saturday arrested four accused over aerial firing and fireworks during a wedding ceremony, recovered illegal weapons, ammunition and fireworks items from their possession.

According to details, Pirwadhai Police Station conducted a raid and netted four accused namely Umair, Muhammad Pervaiz, Muhammad Siddique and Yahya Khan who were allegedly involved in aerial firing and fireworks during a wedding ceremony. Police also recovered a 30-bore pistols, ammunition and fireworks items from their possession.

A case has been registered against all the accused while further investigation is underway. Superintendent Police Rawal appreciated police party and directed to continue operation against lawbreakers.

Meanwhile, psolice have arrested seven illegal arms holders and recovered seven 30 bore pistols from their possession, informed police spokesman. Saddar Barooni police held Rehman Ullah, Ali Hassan, Abdul Jabbar, Jahanzeb, Zohain Rehman and recovered five 30 bore pistols from their possession.  Similalry, Waris Khan police arrested Akash Naeem and recovered one 30 bore pistol from his possession while Kahuta police nabbed Tasneem Kamran and recovered one 12 bore rifle from his custody.Police have registered separate cases against all of them and started investigation. Divisional SP said that action must be taken against those possessing illegal weapons.
