South Punjab needs to stand on its own foot: Parvez Elahi

Speaker says people will get best facilities in new local government system

LAHORE - Former Provincial Minister Rai Mansab Ali Khan and Senior Vice President Punjab Makhdoom Babar Ali called on Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in the Assembly Chamber and took necessary instructions regarding the political situation in South Punjab.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that Punjab could not stand on its own feet till the deprivations of South Punjab were over. Ch Parvez Elahi said: “We do not leave alone those who support and stand by us. The doors of the party are open for those who think to serve Pakistan. Our priority is to solve the problems of the people.”  

Parvez Elahi told party men the Pakistan Muslim League and the Federal government were considering recommendations for the improvement of the local government system. He said the people would get the best facilities in the new local government system. Parvez said that the PML would take part in the next elections from all over the country including South Punjab. He hoped that Pakistan Muslim League would get full support of the people in the next elections. Former Provincial Minister Rai Mansab Ali Khan thanked Ch Parvez Elahi and said that there was no repeat of the development works carried out in the South during his tenure. Pakistan Muslim League in South Punjab will once again fulfill its mission of public service, he said.
