ISLAMABAD - Pakistan People’s Party yesterday alleged the federal government was looting the national exchequer.
Information Secretary PPP Parliamrntarinans Shazia Atta Marri said the federal government had hit the national exchequer hard by importing the sugar on higher rates.
Reacting to the government decision, she said that the decision of importimg sugar on rupees 123 per kilogram was nothing but a loss to the national exchequer.
Shazia Marri said that government has decided sugar would be sold at Rs 85 per kilogram to all utility stores then who get the extra Rs 38.
She added that no one will buy such expensive sugar in the open market but Prime Minister Imran Khan was making his financial facilitators richer than richest.
“Imran Khan has appointed his financial facilitators in every ministry and department related to the economic affairs,” she accused.
Marri said the the government had shut down all the sugar mills in the country. She further said the government has made the county’s economic condition worst due to bad policies.
