ISLAMABAD-A prevailing uncertainty about the induction of new board members in CDA has yet to be ended besides landing of three new officers in the authority.

It is nothing new and is an ongoing practice in the bureaucracy that the top man after getting a high profile posting handpicks his team to implement his policies and execute the development projects especially technical organisations in CDA.  After the appointment of Captain (R) Muhammad Usman Younis, except member engineering, there were rumours about the change of rest of the board members.

The Establishment Divison has also placed the services of three officers on the disposal of Interior Division for their further posting in CDA including a BS-20 officer of the Inland Revenue Services Waseem Hayat Bajwa, BS-19 officer of Inland Revenue Service Syed Mazhar Hussain Shah and a BS-19 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) Capt (retd) Anwarul Haq.

However, even the aforementioned placements on deputations could not end the uncertainty as only a single vacancy of member planning exists after joining of service back by Naveed Elahi, who was on ex-Pakistan leave while Member Finance Rana Shakeel Asghar and Member Admin Amir Abbas is also working on their posts.  Sources inside the civic authority have informed this scribe that soon the new members would be appointed in the CDA board and the same was delayed due to the unavailability of the Prime Minister.
