FAISALABAD    -   A man stabbed his wife to death over a domestic dispute in Mansoorabad police limits on Tuesday.

A Rescue 1122 spokesman said that Hajira Bibi of Chak 203-RB, Mannanwala had exchanged harsh words with her spouse Shahid over a domestic dispute. 

Over this issue, the accused injured his wife who was shifted to the Allied Hospital where she died. Police took the body into custody and started in­vestigation to arrest the accused.

Meanwhile, Jahanian police have busted a gang of dangerous criminals for committing dacoities in Multan and Khanewal districts including one dacoity-cum-murder case.

Yassi gang leader Yassai Nadeem and M Ali were arrested during an operation after they were tracked through modern technology, said a police spokesman, adding that they never hesitated in opening fire at their targets upon resistance. He said that they had shot at and injured a person Aslam Gull while snatching cash at Sheikh Badin hotel nine days ago. Lat­er, the same day they killed a man Ab­dur Rehman and injured Rana Ashraf at Subhan hotel in Pervaiz Wala.

They have confessed their involve­ment in over a dozen cases in Jaha­nian besides many cases of snatching cash, mobile phones and motorcycles in Multan and inflicting injuries to a person. They had also snatched cash from truck drivers at Tibba Sultan­pur. Khanewal DPO Jalil Imran Ghil­zai congratulated the police team that tracked down the criminals.

TWO FOUND DEAD

Two persons including a toddler were found dead in different inci­dents near here on Tuesday. Rescue 1122 said that the corpse of a man aged 30, yet to be identified, was found from Chak 106-JB, Khichiyan, Millat Road. In another incident, the body of a three-month-old girl was found from a canal near Sufi Barkat Ali shrine Dalowal, Samundri Road. The dead bodies were handed over to concerned police.

Moreover, a man committed sui­cide over a domestic issue in Dijkot police limits, Faisalabad on Tues­day. A police spokesman said wife of Ashraf Muraad of Dijkot left house of her spouse and settled in parents’ house after some domestic issues. The man, a father of four children, tried to made compromise with his wife but she refused. To which, Mu­rad reportedly swallowed poisonous pills and was shifted to a local hospi­tal where he died.

WOMAN ELECTROCUTED

A woman was electrocuted in Fac­tory Area police limits on Tuesday. A police spokesman said 35-year-old Tehmina Zubair of Mohallah Khalid Abad was washing clothes when she received a fatal electric shock from a machine.
