PML-Q blames PML-N for national crises

A PML-Q district leader said that the present rulers were responsible for sky-rocketing prices of daily-use items, unemployment and lawlessness.
Addressing a party meeting at Nankana Sahib, District Senior Vice-President Muhammad Suhaib Saroya said that the rulers had given nothing but disappointment to the people of Punjab during the last five and half years. They are afraid of present situation and avoiding transfer of power to the local bodies representatives by delaying elections. In these elections, he said, the PML-N will face defeat due to its bad governance, he said.
He said that PML-Q leader Parvez Elahi during his tenure as chief minister had exempted five-marla houses and twelve and half acres of agriculture lands from taxes, made education free up to Matric, provided free medicines at govt hospitals and launched Rescue 1122 system. However, he added, Sharif brothers have again imposed tax on houses and agri lands.
TMA clamps down on encroachers: The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) continued its anti-encroachment operation and removed various illegal structures from Hameed Nazami Road, Railway Road, Committee Bazaar, Main Bazaar, Anarkali Bazaar and various other places.
As per details, Inspector Mohsin Sahi on the directives of AC Chaudhry Safder Husain Virk launched the operation and removed illegally constructed shops and many other structures across the city. Speaking on AC Safder Virk told The Nation that the TMA regularly conducted anti-encroachment campaigns to keep roads and footpaths clear. He dispelled the impression that the TMA did not heed to public complaints, adding that special teams had been deputed in different area of the city to remove all kinds of encroachments. The AC pledged that the clean-up operation against encroachment would continue and no one would be spared in this connection.
