ISLAMABAD : Government has released Rs 306 million for the development of agriculture sector in the country under its PSDP for the financial year 2013-14.According to the data of Planning Commission of Pakistan, a sum of Rs 92 million has been released for the establishment of research for agriculture development project and Rs. 48 million for National Institute of Genomic and Advance Bio-Technology (NIGAB) to promote agri sector in the country. Up to mid of current month, the government has released Rs. 28 million for special programme for the strengthening of SPS facilities and quality inspection services in compliance with WTO.

Establishment of an integrated national animal and plant health inspection under the projects to make the agri-products as per with international standards.
