FIA nabs child pornography 'racket member'
JHANG (Onlie): The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a man on Sunday for possessing child pornography. FIA took action on a complain received by Otawa, a chit of Canada through Interpol and arrested Taimur Maqsood--- for making and selling child pornography on Internet. Duirng preliminary investigation, the accused disclosed to interrogators that he lured children into the heinous act. The Investigation Agency's cyber crime wing took his computer and laptop in custody and launched further investigation. The accused is being further interrogated by the FIA officials.
Bikes collision claims four lives
SHEIKHUPURA (Staff Reporter): Four persons including two brothers died in a head-on collision between two motorcycles here on Hafizabad Road near Bagh Chowk on Sunday. Rescue 1122 sources informed that all the deceased four persons were on travelling two bikes, coming from opposite direction. Near Bagh Chowk, both bikes collided head-on due to speeding as a result all the four riders died on the spot. The deceased persons were identified Faizan and Umer Farooq (both brothers) while Bashir and Haroon. The dead bodies were shifted to DHQ Hospital while the Sheikhupura Saddr Police have started investigation.
Family of missing youth raise a rumpus
GUJRANWALA (Staff Reporter): The family of a youth, disappeared under mysterious circumstances, staged a protest in front of CPO office against the police inaction to locate his whereabouts. "A month and half have passed but the Aroop Police have failed to take interest in the recovery of the youth Waqas Butt. The protesters including women and children chanted slogans against the police for negligence. The protesters told the media that Waqas Butt, resident of resident of Lohianwala, had gone missing on Dec 14. They alleged that they repeated approached the Aroop Police but to their disappointment, the police seem least bother to recover the youth. They demanded the Punjab Inspector General of Police and Gujranwala Police officer to take notice of the police negligence and order recovery of the youth.
Man attempts to sexually assault minor girl
CHINIOT (Staff Reporter): A man held for attempting to rape a seven-year-old girl in crop fields. According to police and local, seven-year-old Sadia Bibi, daughter of Mansab, of Chak 241/JB, Bhowana tehsil, was going to her home when Amin, son of Riaz Muslim Sheikh, resident of the same village took the girl to the sugarcane crop fields. He allegedly put off clothes of the girl and attempted to rape her but she raise alarms. Upon which, villagers gathered, prompting the accused to flee the scene. On the application of Mansab, the Bhowana Police have registered a case under sections 376 and 511 of PPC. District Police Officer Tahir Rehman told the newsmen that police have arrested the accused and he has 'reportedly' confessed to have attempted rape of the girl.
Police accused of torture on housemaid
GUJRANWALA (Staff Reporter): Police allegedly tortured a housemaid severely involved in a theft case incident. Protesting against "what called the police highhandedness" in front of the CPO office, heirs of the housemaid identified as Aneesa, 20, alleged that Aneesa was working in the house of Akram at Muafi Wala. Two days ago, Akram gave an application to the Aroop Police that Aneesa had stolen gold ornaments and cash from his house. The protesters alleged that on Saturday police took the girl to police station where they kept her for the whole night and also tortured her brutally. On the occasion, the police high-ups assured the protesters of carrying out an inquiry into the incident and action against the responsible officials. Later, the protesters dispersed after the assurance.
Police resolve mystery of beggar's murder
SIALKOT (Staff Reporter): The Pasrur Police have arrested main accused Mazhar Ali, the ringleader of beggars' gang, in murder case of a physically-handicapped 13-year-old child Ahsan Ali. According to senior police officials, local nomad person Muhammad Yousaf had sold out his real minor son Ahsan Ali, physically disabled, in few thousands of rupees to a Gujranwala-based accused Mazhar Ali, who took the child to Gujranwala for begging. The accused told the police that Ahsan Ali died due to severe cold near Gujranwala a few days ago and they threw his dead body in a local trash heap in Pasrur city's Buhadarpura locality, where the stray dogs and cats badly damaged the dead body. Local people had found this dead body from there three days ago. Meanwhile, the Pasrur police have also arrested the nomad accused father Muhammad Yousaf for selling his handicapped minor son to the beggars. The police have registered a case under the Child Protection Act against him. On the other hand, the Child Welfare and Protection Bureau Sialkot officials took the other two minor children Arooj Fatima and Ali Hassan into the official custody after arrest of their accused father Yousaf.

DNA leads to arrest of culprits
SARGODHA (Staff Reporter): The police claimed to have resolved the mystery surrounded the blind murder of a minor egg-seller after sodomy in Bhalwal, some two months back. According to police sources, DNA of the two suspects identified as Babar and Mehboob have matched with the slain child Ali Raza who was murdered in a brutal manner after sodomy in the remit of Bhalwal Police. Initially the police appeared dillydallying to take up the case but later sprung into action following a meeting of the bereaved parents with Punjab CM. The CM had also ordered suspension of the SDPO and SHO Bhalwal on charges of negligence. Later, the police conducted DNA of 34 suspects, out of which DNA of Mehboob and Babar matched the slain minor. It is to be recalled that Ali Raza would sell boiled egg in the night. He was abducted by unidentified accused who murdered him after sexually abuse two months back.
