Training workshop on Halal food

PESHAWAR   -   Peshawar Medical College (PMC) Friday hosts a one-day master trainer workshop for creating awareness about the importance of Halal food.

A master training workshop was held for Ulama and Aimma-e-Masajid at Peshawar Medical College (PMC), Peshawar. The workshop was jointly organized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Halal Implementation Council in collaboration with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Halal Food Authority and Prime Foundation.

In the workshop renowned Mufti Yahya delivered an elaborate presentation about Halal Food, emphasizing the importance of clean and hygienic slaughter with the recital of Bismillah (tasmiyyah) and Allah-o-Akbar (takbeer) at the start of the Halal animal’s slaughter as mandated by Islam.

KP Halal Food Authority Director Dr Abdul Sattar stressed the need for creating awareness among the food businesses and consumers about the importance of Halal food as part of our faith and its paramount importance for human health.

Prof. Dr. Najib-ul-Haq, chairman KP Halal Implementation Council stressed the need of strong coordination and linkages among ulemas, food industry and academia for raising awareness about the issue and implementing the Halal and hygiene food safety protocols on a fuller scale.
