ISLAMABAD (APP) - US Secretary of State Ms Hillary Clinton telephoned President Asif Zardari on Thursday night. The two leaders discussed bilateral ties, regional situation and fight against militancy, Spokesperson to the President Farhatullah Babar said. Secretary Clinton said that the United States valued its partnership with Pakistan and that it supported democracy in the country. President Zardari said that Pakistan looked forward to continued partnership and productive engagement with the US on the basis of mutual interest, mutual respect and sovereign equality. Special Correspondent from Washington adds: The US welcomed the talks between the foreign ministers of Pakistan and India, saying that dialogue between the two South Asian nations was good for the region.
