KBD vs Bhasha Dam

The monsoon rains are a blessing of God of which we are storing only 9 percent in our dams while in many parts of the world 40 percent of it is stored at least. This will get even less as the dams silt up, and we will move from the water-stress to the water-scarce level, 'water water everywhere and not a drop to drink. And in our great wisdom we are building Bhasha dam in preference to Kalabagh dam. Bhasha dam is outside the monsoon range and will not store even one drop of Gods bounty. Kalabagh dam on the other hand will store the monsoon flows of five big rivers, Kabul, Chitral, Swat, Haro and Soan which flow into the Indus above the Kalabagh site.
